Today was a nice, relaxing day. Mikey and I drove to the University of Hawai'i at Manoá (Rainbow Warriors) to meet with Dr. Chueng, a professor of Ocean Research Engineering, to discuss Mikey attending there for grad school! His meeting lasted about 45 minutes. I found an Asian food truck, where I bought teriyaki chicken. They gave me rice with it, but also some green and white slimy stuff, which I didn't eat, but they gave me four weird seaweed sushi things that I ate. I have no clue what they were. After his meeting, we met Vincent, a grad student in ORE (ocean resource engineering) who actually went to UNCW. Super cool guy. Very surfer-esk. He invited us to surf North Shore with him on Friday... we will wait and see if he actually follows through with it. After Vincent, we got lunch with Mel. He talked to us about our spiritual beliefs, and asked if we knew where people today were doing what Jesus did. I responded, "Mozambique, with..." and Mel finished my sentence with, "Heidi Baker." I was super surprised at this. Mel continued to talk about things like Harry Potter and letting evil in our lives. After Mel, we headed to Pipeline! My first time on the North Shore. By the time we got there, they had finished competing, but they were still surfing. HUGE waves... like double and triple overhead waves (12-18 ft.) We left there, came home, and went to the mall with Maggie and Dani for dinner. Before we went to bed, i checked, and Mikey agreed with me, that Pipe masters wasn't supposed to be tomorrow. So, we plan to surf.
